Family: Joseph Baker; Father, Antonia Baker; Mother, Francis Baker; older brother, Dylan Baker; younger brother. Status: Under contract with Wolfram & Hart; Background Info: Lily Baker was a typical teenager who grew up in Tampa, Florida with her parents and two brothers. Her parents, aunts, uncles, and grandparents are all teachers so education was stressed in the Baker household. Her older brother, Francis, is currently studying at USF to become a teacher. Lily wasn't sure she wanted to follow in her family's footsteps, but the choice was made for her when one day she woke up after having a vivid dream of a bunch of girls fighting mummy looking creatures and some guy wearing a tacky necklace bursting into flames. She brushed the dream off as just a weird nightmare, yet she couldn't ignore the fact she was suddenly breaking door knobs and pencils, and moving a lot faster than she used to be able too. Her parents, concerned, took her to several doctors, but no one could figure out why Lily was suddenly so strong and fast. Blood tests came back as normal so her parents urged her to get control of these new abilities so people would not treat her like she was a freak. Her brothers teased her that she was adopted and obviously one of those mutants that had been shown on tv recently, but her parents assured her that she was not a mutant. Just the same, they took her to Professor Xavier to have her tested and again she tested out as being a normal teenage girl with no mutant genetics. A year after Lily discovered her new abilities a young English man appeared on her door steps with the answers that she had been seeking. He was one of the few surviving watchers and had been spending the last few months trying to track down the slayers that were unaccounted for. He explained about the slayer line and what she had been chosen to do and Lily wanted no part of it. She remembered the dream vividly as well as several that came to her over the year and they left her feeling sick and scared. Timothy, the watcher, persuaded her to spend her summer vacation with him so he could at least teach her how to get control of her abilities. Her parents, desperate that their daughter be able to fit in and not cause attention to herself or them, agreed to let her go with him. She trained with Timothy for the first couple of months before she faced her first vampire. She panicked and was nearly killed, but Timothy managed to stake the vamp before it could drain her. She refused to patrol again. It was on his way to returning her back to Florida that they were attacked at a hotel. She is unsure what type of demons that came at them, but she tried to fight them off only to see Timothy ripped into pieces. Screaming for help, she was surprised when the door opened and a man who didn't appear much older than her entered the hotel room and slaughtered the demons. He told her his name was Aidan and that he had been sent to help her. Traumatized from being attacked and witnessing her watcher's death, she didn't put up a fight when he ushered her into a limo and took her to LA. Aidan informed her that there was a war brewing and the demons wanted to return things to the way they were. That a witch had activated all the slayers and that it upset the balance. If Lily was to return home she would be putting her family in danger. Lily had no reason to doubt him so she agreed to enter under contract at the law firm that Aidan Hart was a partner in. He promised to help make her strong enough that should anything come at her again it wouldn't stand a chance against her. For the last month she has lived in Los Angeles and has undergone tests at Wolfram and Hart. She has been told there are other people involved in the tests, but to keep the results accurate she has not be permitted to meet the other participants. The only people she has been permitted to see are Aidan Hart, Lena Lehane, Dr. Osborn, and his assistants in the lab. She has a small apartment and so far has kept to it when she is not training or doing the experiments and taking the meds that they provide for her. She is lonely and frightened, but she is hopeful that Dr. Osborn's project will deliver the results that Aidan has promised. Lily Baker doesn't want to be scared anymore. | |||||||||
